Registering a representative to act on your behalf
Power of attorney is a legal authority through which one person (the donor), gives another person (the attorney or representative) authority to act on their behalf.
Obtaining a power of attorney may be suitable should you need a friend or relative to administer accounts on your behalf. Examples of when power of attorney could be used include working away long term, a long stay in hospital or loss of mental capacity.
