Community Banking Current Account
Easy access, interest-bearing banking
- Competitive interest rates for deposits over £10,000
- Higher interest rates for higher deposits
- Potentially free banking
- Instant access without penalties
- Easy switching
The best of both worlds
Our high interest current account offers you the best of both worlds: quick, everyday access to your funds and an attractive return on your cleared credit balance – as long as you maintain at least £10,000 in the account.
Where the average balance is likely to be less than £10,000 please contact your local Bank of Scotland Halifax branch to obtain a suitable alternative product such as the Treasurers Account.
Easy access
You'll receive a chequebook and Bank Giro credit book as standard and be able to access your account through our branch network and ATM machines. Find your nearest branch.
Potentially free banking
All standard transactions such as Direct Debits, standing orders and paying in cheques are free of charge. And, with a free allowance of 50 payment cheques per monthly charging period, you can be sure that your organisation is receiving good value. If more than 50 cheques are debited to your account in any monthly charging period, you simply pay 40p per cheque, but only on the extra ones.
