HBOS Women recently hosted a conference dedicated to the expanding role for women in business, and the value of socially responsible investing.

It is estimated that British women will be wealthier than men by 2025, owning 60% of the nation's personal wealth. With this in mind, HBOS Women hosted a conference for fund managers, female entrepreneurs and agents of change, entitled Smart Economics – Tomorrow's Future Today. The conference took place in London on Tuesday 2 October.

Topics for discussion included demographics and their impact on business; the challenges and opportunities for female entrepreneurs in growing businesses of scale; and the economics of socially responsible investing.
