Bank of Scotland Corporate is an investor in Trapezia, the UK's first Equity Fund dedicated to supporting women-focused businesses.
UK research shows that companies with women directors have a higher return on equity and stronger corporate governance. Yet, fund-raising for businesses driven by women remains challenging. The Trapezia fund aims to change that.
The first Trapezia fund raised £4.5 million, and already supports a wide range of businesses. Its managers, Stargate Capital, are now raising funds for a second fund in association with Bank of Scotland Corporate.
