Now SIPPs can capital raise using certain fund assets other than property as security, for example stocks and shares. These can be used to borrow for any 'allowable investments', boosting the value of the fund. An added advantage is that, unlike property, this type of security requires no fixed charge, saving the cost of legal fees.
