We are responsible for the advice we give and for arranging your policy. Because we place some of our insurance with one insurer, we can only advise you about the cover provided under our scheme with that insurer.

This cover is underwritten by St Andrew's Insurance plc (registered in England No. 3104671) (The Insurer) whose Head and Registered Office is at St Andrew's House, Portsmouth Road, Esher, Surrey KT10 9SA.

St Andrews Insurance plc is a Bank of Scotland Group Company.

The insurer will choose English Law as the law which applies to your insurance unless you ask for another law and they agree to this in writing before the insurance starts. The Financial Services Compensation Scheme may assist you if the insurer in some circumstances is unable to meet its liability to you. Further details are available on request.

Bank of Scotland USA PATRIOT ACT Certification

Pursuant to the USA PATRIOT Act and final rules issued by the US Department of the Treasury, a US bank or a US broker-dealer in securities (a "Covered Financial Institution") is required to obtain certain information from any "Foreign Bank" that maintains a correspondent account with it.

As permitted by the final rules, Bank of Scotland has prepared a Global Certificate for use by any financial institution that believes it requires a USA PATRIOT Act Certificate from a Bank of Scotland entity.

Please complete the Bank of Scotland Global Certificate [PDF - 221KB] in preference to requesting individual Bank of Scotland businesses to complete a separate certificate. If the particular Bank of Scotland business that maintains a correspondent account with your institution is not listed in our Certificate or if you have any questions with regards to the Certificate please advise us by emailing USA Patriot Act enquiries.
