GHG - Genesis Housing Group - are one of the largest Registered Social Landlords in the UK. We provide homes for thousands of people all over the south-east.
We're social businesses, so we don't exist for distribution of profit; any profit made is redistributed into the business. There are no shareholders, and we don't distribute dividends. In fact, many RSLs are registered under charitable rules, designed to provide homes at affordable rents. This allows access to accommodation for people who couldn't normally afford it.
GHG was born from the Paddington Churches Housing Association (PCHA). We wanted to get involved in activities other than RSL work - corporate finance for example - which would let us put more money into housing. The best way to do this was to become a group.
We're not just about building social housing for rent, and we don't just follow government approved development programmes. We're open to doing different things, taking risks others would be less willing or able to take. In a way, this is how we became involved with Bank of Scotland Corporate – they have a similar attitude; they don't like to follow the familiar, beaten paths.
Now you have listened to what our customers have to say, perhaps you'd like to hear what we can do for your business. Why not call us on 0845 608 7882†? (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm).
