Our company is called Vue Entertainment not Vue Cinemas. The reason for that is we want to change people's perceptions about cinemas. What people don't realise is that our cinemas are actually not used between 60 and 70% of the time. Our goal is to get people into the cinemas during that period of time. After building the company for eight years we had built a very material, substantial, high quality company. This was really reflected in the value of the company. It was a £350 million transaction, one of the largest ever done in this sector in the country. Following my first meeting with Bank of Scotland Corporate it was very apparent that Bank of Scotland had a unique product through its Integrated Finance unit that absolutely nobody else had. For us as a management team, it was the beginning of our dream where we actually gained control of the company for the very first time. For me the decision was easy. I'm a very big fan of the Bank. They're a fantastic group because they're supportive and yet they're never intrusive and as a management team that's really all you can ask for.
