Transfer an ISA to Bank of Scotland

Enjoy the benefits of our ISAs by transferring an existing cash ISA you have with another provider to us.

Transferring your cash ISA is easy - all you need to do is:

  • Step 1 - Open a Bank of Scotland cash ISA, if you don't already have one
  • Step 2 - Complete and return a transfer request form (pdf) to us at the address below or to your local branch:

Bank of Scotland ISA
Mail Processing Centre
PO Box 548

Please note: If you already hold a variable rate ISA with us and wish to transfer funds held with another ISA provider to this account, you will just need to complete the transfer request form.

Once you've opened your account and we have received your transfer request form, here's what we do:

Step 1 – We transfer your ISA
  • If you have posted the form to us, our transfer team will request the funds once we receive the form. If you visit your local branch then we will request the money from your existing provider on the day you visit us
  • You'll earn interest from the day we receive your transfer form, provided your funds are free to move. You simply need to tell us how much you are transferring

View cash ISA transfer guidelines.

Step 2 – We complete the transfer and make sure your new account is up and running
  • We aim to complete the transfer process within 15 working days of receiving your completed transfer application form
  • If you have requested a Fixed Cash ISA we will fix the rate from the day the account is opened
  • We will write to you to confirm the transfer is complete
