Browser compatibility

Our service is designed to work with the latest versions of the most popular browsers. We recommend that you use the latest version of your browser.

The service should still work with older versions and less common browsers, although we can't guarantee your online experience and we won't be able to investigate any errors you may find.

As new browser versions are released, we will test them for compatibility with our service.

Email fraud scams – also known as 'phishing'

'Phishing' is a known method of fraud where-by fraudsters send emails pretending to be from various high street banks, usually asking you to provide sign-in details such as your username, passwords and security details.

The designs can be very convincing and may even use words and images from genuine websites.

We would NEVER email you asking you to provide your sign-in details.

If you receive an email like this, take the following steps:

  • Do not access any links within the email
  • Under no circumstances provide your sign in details
  • Do not reply to the email
  • Forward the email to our fraud investigations team at security@bankofscotland.co.uk and entitle the email 'Report' - then delete it immediately.

To give you further peace of mind, we have started including part of your postcode in the emails we send out. This is an additional piece of information to help identify that the email is from a genuine source.

If you're concerned you may have disclosed any personal or security details, call our helpdesk immediately on
0345 602 0000 (24 hours).

See our security section for more information on 'phishing' scams (including examples of fraudulent emails), plus information about spam, trojans and viruses.
