A chance to own a piece of history

An iconic goal. A defining match. A moment that helped send Scotland on the road to the USA. Now captured forever on a limited-edition Bank of Scotland £20 note. 

Created in collaboration with Scott McTominay and brought to life by Scottish illustrator Katie Smith this banknote celebrates a defining moment in Scottish football history.

Only 100 exist, with 50 up for grabs, 25 in the prize draw and 25 in the auction. Now could be your chance to win one.

Enter the prize draw for a chance to win or bid in the auction to secure yours. One auction lot also includes an exclusive piece of Scott McTominay memorabilia.

All proceeds go to our partner charity Crisis to support their mission to end homelessness in Scotland by 2040.

The prize draw and auction open 09.00am on the 22 May and closes at 11.00am on 26 June 2026, BST.

    • Enter our prize draw for a chance to win 1 of 25 limited-edition banknotes.
    • Or bid in the auction, where the following lots will be available.
      • 14 banknotes signed by Scott McTominay.
      • 10 unsigned banknotes.
      • 1 exclusive lot including a signed banknote and a piece of Scott McTominay memorabilia.

    It’s £10 per entry, with all proceeds going to Crisis. Multiple entries allowed (each £10 = 1 entry).

  • Only 100 of these limited-edition notes have been produced in total and only 50 are available to be won in this prize draw or the auction. The notes are intended to be collectors’ items, but they are legal currency.

  • The prize draw and auction opens at 9.00am on 22 May 2026 and closes at 11.00am on 26 June 2026. 


    How and when will winners be selected

    Prize draw

    The draw closes at 11.00am on 26 June 2026, after which winners will be selected at random from all valid entries.

    Winners will be contacted by email from bankofscotland@leith.co.uk within 14 days of the draw.

    If a winner cannot be contacted, another winner may be selected.

    Prizes will be sent by post to the address provided, no later than 30 July 2026.

     

    Auction

    Auction winners will be the highest bidders for each lot once the auction ends.

    All bidding, payments and fulfilment will be managed by our partner Spink & Son.

  • Bank of Scotland will donate 100% of the proceeds raised from the prize draw of 25 x Scott McTominay banknotes and the auction of 25 x lots of Scott McTominay banknotes  (including any lots stated to include additional memorabilia) to Crisis UK (trading as “Crisis”).

    Due to the nature of the prize draw and auction, the final amount expected to be raised for Crisis is uncertain and cannot be guaranteed. Bank of Scotland will not be deducting the production costs, distribution costs or marketing costs of the fundraising campaign from the proceeds, nor will it receive any payments from the fundraising campaign.
