Personally arranged overdraft

Private Banking overdrafts are designed with your day to day needs in mind, allowing you the flexibility to draw funds as and when you need them, providing you with a high level of convenience for your short term lending needs. Once agreed, the arranged overdraft limit can be applied immediately* to your account. Lending is subject to our responsible lending criteria**.

Currency account

Flexible currency

  • Open a Current Account in a currency other than pounds. 
  • Receive funds and make payments in a foreign currency, thereby avoiding exchange rate conversions to and from pounds. 
  • Most major currencies are available.

Available to customers who also hold a Bank of Scotland Private Banking Premier or Flexible Current Account.

Foreign exchange rates

If you want to make a payment to or from your currency account, in a different currency than the account currency:

  • We will change the payment from the account currency to the currency requested before making the payment. 
  • The exchange rate that will apply will be the relevant Bank of Scotland Standard Exchange Rate.

  • Service eligibility

    Our Estate Administration Service is available where we are appointed as an Executor under the terms of a will, where an existing Executor does not feel able to act or where there is no Will in place (the latter is not available if the deceased was domiciled in Scotland).

    You do not have to be an existing customer to use our service. The gross value of the Estate must be over £80,000. This may include cash, valuables, investments or property.

Service eligibility

Our Private Banking service is available to customers with £250,000 or more in savings and/or investments or a mortgage of £750,000 or more with Bank of Scotland.

And if you have £2 million or more in savings and/or investments or an annual income of £500,000 or more, you will be eligible for our Private Client service.
