Why is the fee changing?

Moving to a percentage-based fee means we stay highly competitive at all investment levels. And we’ll carry on offering strong long-term value compared with similar providers.

Your new account fee will be 0.3% a year, based on the value of your investments and is charged monthly. You’re only charged on the first £100,000 of your investments. You’ll never pay more than £25 a month.

If you’re not happy with continuing with your account and the new fee, you can explore your options.

How the fee will work

Working out the fee

We'll work out your fee daily, based on the value of your investments.

If you have an Investment Account and ISA, the fee will be based on the total value of your investments across both accounts.

Collecting the fee

We’ll charge it once a month, on the anniversary of when you opened your account, and collect it shortly after.

To pay the fee, we’ll sell some of your investments, just as we do today.

Quick reminder

As you consider the fee changes, here are a few things to keep in mind about your account and the value it gives.

Performance

Investments rise and fall but in the past 5 years to 30 June 2026, all 3 funds have grown:

  • Cautious grew by an average of 3% each year.
  • Balanced grew by an average of 6.3% each year.
  • Adventurous grew by an average of 9.6% each year.

Remember that past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.

This does not include the account fee.

Charges

Low fees and charges mean more of your money remains invested and has the opportunity to grow.

Our new fee is highly competitive against comparable providers. For most customers, it will be cheaper, and we continue to offer some of the lowest ongoing fund charges on the market.

Ease

Our Ready-Made Investments let you:

  • track and manage your investments in our app alongside any other accounts you have with us
  • change your investment style at any time
  • invest in different ways, including regular monthly payments or one-off amounts from your phone.

Keeping your money invested

Our funds are designed specifically for our products and aren’t offered by other providers.

Selling investments earlier than planned, or over a short period, could affect your long‑term goals, as investments typically perform better over 5 years or more. There may also be tax implications to consider.

If staying in the same funds matters to you, this is something to consider when reviewing your options.

Changes to the terms

The changes to our pricing mean our terms and conditions and key features documents will change from 10 December 2026. Make sure you’re familiar with the new terms before they come into effect.

A look at the details

  • Continue with the new account fee

There's nothing you need to do. The pricing changes will come into effect automatically.

Sell your investments, withdraw the cash and ask us to close your account

If you decide to sell your investments, it's important to consider any tax implications, such as Capital Gains Tax. If you withdraw cash from an ISA, you'll lose its tax-efficient status.

Transfer to another provider if you have an ISA

You'll need to contact your new provider and ask for the transfer. We won't charge you to transfer. The transfer will need to be completed by 10 December 2026 to make sure we don't charge you the new fee.

We'll sell your investments and transfer the cash to your new provider. If you try to complete the transfer yourself, the cash will be withdrawn from the ISA and will lose its tax-efficient status.

  • Transfers or closure requests must be completed before 10 December 2026 to make sure you’re not charged the new fee.

  • Yes, you can continue to use your account as normal.

    • We'll work out your fee daily, based on the value of your investments.
    • We’ll charge it once a month, on the anniversary of when you opened your account, and collect it shortly after.
    • Your first fee may be a little lower than usual as it will only cover between 10 December and your next payment date.
    • To pay the fee, we’ll sell some of your investments, just as we do today.
    • If you have an Investment Account and ISA, the fee will be based on the total value of your investments across both accounts. You’ll never pay more than £25 a month.
  • As well as the new fee, we’re lowering your funding limits. You’ll soon be able to make one-off payments from £1, rather than £500, with monthly payments starting from £20.

    You’ll continue to benefit from:

    • professional management of your investments
    • one of the best ongoing fund charges of 0.1%
    • easy performance tracking and account management through the mobile banking app
    • having multiple ways to add money to your account
    • the flexibility to switch between our 3 managed funds, if your needs or goals change.
