How to find your policy number

Your policy number will be on any letters we've sent you, and starts with 3 letters e.g. HIA123456789. If you use Online Banking, you can log on to see your policy number.

With your policy number, you can find your policy booklet.
 

Proof of insurance

Get proof that your property is insured with us. We’ll send you a proof of insurance letter by email or post. Get proof of insurance.

Cancel your policy

Get in touch with us if you want to remove something from your policy. If you no longer want your cover, you can cancel your policy online.

Bereavement

If you’ve lost a loved one, and need to let us know, you can contact our specialist bereavement team.

Moving home

Insuring your new home is easy. Get a quote for your new home, and once you're insured, cancel your existing policy for your old home. When you cancel online, you can choose when you want us to cancel your policy from.

If you need to keep your existing policy, but move it to your new home, you'll need to call us to change the address on your policy. We’ll let you know if there’s any change to how much you pay.

Something has changed

If something is changing that might affect your policy, you’ll need to get in touch beforehand to let us know. For example, if:

  • you’re making changes to your property like adding an extension
  • your home will be empty for longer than usual
  • someone will be living with you who doesn’t normally.

Check your policy booklet to see a full list of changes you must tell us about. We’ll review your policy and let you know what happens next.

Working from home?

If you're working from home using a computer, doing paperwork or phone calls, you don't need to tell us. For other types of work from home such as making things, or services like hairdressing, let us know. We can check you're covered.

If you want to let someone you trust talk to us about your policy, contact us to give them permission.

Power of Attorney

If you want to let someone you trust help you to manage your policy, you can appoint someone to manage your affairs.

If you’ve lost a loved one, and need to let us know, you can contact our specialist bereavement team.
