Pick up Euros or US Dollars from £200 instantly in branch. Or if you need other currencies, you can order in branch or online. All orders are commission free.
When you order you can choose to collect from either your local branch or delivered to home the next day.
There is a minimum order limit of £200 and a maximum order limit of £3,000 per order. You can place multiple orders using your current account to pay for them, providing each one is not worth more than £3,000.
Deliveries to your home address or Bank of Scotland branch are completely free of charge. We deliver to the UK and Northern Ireland. Deliveries can be to the customer’s home address or their local branch. You cannot collect travel money or sell it back at a Counter-free branch.
Home delivery orders will be sent by Royal Mail special delivery and are subject to Royal Mail’s special delivery conditions (copies available from Royal Mail upon request). Different timescales may apply to Scotland and Northern Ireland. We may not be able to guarantee deliveries to certain remote areas within the United Kingdom.
Next day delivery cut off times apply to working days, i.e. Monday to Friday and excludes Saturday, Sunday, bank and public holidays. Where Monday is a bank holiday your order will be delivered on the next working day.
Orders confirmed before 1pm Monday – Friday can be collected after 4pm from your branch the next working day. These timescales may differ if your chosen delivery branch is not open standard hours every weekday. Please check when placing your order. Orders confirmed before 1pm Monday – Friday for home delivery will be delivered by 4pm the next working day.
Orders confirmed after 1pm on a working day, or orders on a day that isn’t a working day (e.g. Saturday/Sunday and Bank Holidays) will be available on the second working day from the date of order. For example, if you order on a Saturday, the money will be available on Tuesday.
Any orders that haven’t been collected (from your chosen branch) after 10 working days from the delivery date you chose will be cancelled and returned to the processing centre. You’ll receive a refund based on the buy-back exchange rate for that day. Cancelled and reduced orders will also be refunded at the buy-back exchange rate of that day. This means you will usually receive back less than you originally paid.
Orders are commission free. We may cease buying back certain foreign currency bank notes and travellers cheques at any time and without notice.
The Internet Banking service is generally available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There may be periods when it isn’t available because of routine maintenance.
