Whether you’re paying in cash or taking some out, our machines are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - giving you the flexibility to bank at a time that suits you.

How the Cash In & Out machines work

What can the machine do?

  • Personal account customers can pay in up to £2,995 a month.
  • Business account customers can deposit up to £40,000 a month.
  • Pay in up to 90 notes at a time (your usual account limits still apply).
  • Withdraw cash.
  • Use PIN services.
  • Check your balance.

What the machine can’t do

  • It doesn’t accept cheques or coins.
  • It does not issue mini statements.
  • Your deposit history won’t show on the machine - but you can view this in our mobile app, at a branch, or by calling us.

Other things to know

  • You can use any Cash In & Out machine for Bank of Scotland, Halifax or Lloyds accounts.
  • You only need your bank card — you won’t need any other ID.

If things aren’t quite as we’d like

If the machine isn’t working

Faults are reported automatically and we aim to have them fixed within 4 hours.

In the meantime, you can use:

If the machine has kept your card

This can happen if the card has expired or the PIN has been entered incorrectly too many times.

If you need a new card, you can order it in the mobile banking app. 

If you don’t use the app, call us or pop into a branch and we will help you.
