The challenging times we’re all experiencing means we’re getting a lot more calls than usual and our call times are longer. So we can support people in the most vulnerable situations, we ask that you only call us if your enquiry is urgent. You can still use our online and mobile banking services and our automated service.

Financial Inclusion & Education

Management of money is key to a strong economy.

Education and Inclusivity

Management of money is the key to a strong economy and we recognise that some people experience barriers to the making the most of their finances. Across the UK there are 1.5m people without a bank account and 13.1m people with low financial capability. Through programmes focused on improving financial skills and improving access to financial services, we’re helping thousands to improve their financial health.

Credit Union Development Fund

We’ve made a commitment to take the lead in financial inclusion, which means making sure everyone has access to banking facilities. For a number of consumers finding affordable credit can be a real challenge. Credit unions provide a vital service to many people across the country, providing affordable loans as well as a range of savings plans and other accounts that help their members save and manage their money.

Through our Credit Union Development Fund, each year we provide grants totalling £1million to help the sector grow sustainably and support more consumers across Britain.
