A decade of support
Bank of Scotland is delighted to continue their title partnership with Scotland’s biggest mass participation running event, the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run 2018.
Together with event organisers The Great Run Company, there is a combined ambition to continue to develop the event, encouraging runners of all abilities in communities the length and breadth of Scotland to take part, get fit and continue to raise millions of pounds each year for a wide range of good causes.
2018 marks the tenth year of Bank of Scotland’s involvement with the Great Scottish Run, with the event growing in size and stature each year.
Almost 30,000 participants take part in a weekend of running, from the Schools Challenge to the Toddler Dash and Family Mile to the 10k and Half Marathon.
With Bank of Scotland’s support, the Community Challenge was introduced in 2017. The campaign promoted our ambition to get Scotland active through supporting a runner from 28 of the 32 Scottish local authorities, providing them with bespoke training and encouragement to enable them to take part in the10k. Each runner had their own inspiring reason for taking part and we followed and shared their training journey right through to race day.
