Our services
Every person and situation is different. So, we take a personal approach, whether you want our will writing service, power of attorney, or both.
Experienced legal professionals are on hand to draft and witness your documents. They can also certify your mental capacity when setting up a power of attorney.
You’ll need to appoint at least one executor in your will. This person will manage your estate after your death. We provide professional executor services through Lloyds who are part of the same family as Bank of Scotland.
You can trust us to handle your financial and legal matters with care, expertise and fairness.
There are different types of will. Choose the one that suits your circumstances.
This is for when you want your loved ones, friends, or charities to benefit from your assets. They can gain without receiving everything directly.
Prices start from £490 for a standard trust will or £700 for a discretionary trust will.

You may be able to use a codicil to make a minor change to your will.
A codicil is a separate legal document that changes the terms of your existing will. We’ll need you to send us a copy of the original will by post. Please include any existing codicils.
We can't offer this service online.
Just remember, if you request a codicil, the wording and terms of your original will stay. They won't get removed. After your death, relevant parties can still view the full terms and wording of your original will. Often, it’s better to write a new will.
To discuss your options and find the best solution for your needs, call us on 0330 053 9175. We’re available Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

A power of attorney (POA) is a legal document. It lets you choose one or more trusted individuals to make decisions for you.
You might need this if you can't make decisions yourself. This situation could arise if you lose mental capacity or if you're unwell or injured.
A welfare power of attorney is important if you lose capacity. This legal document gives power to someone you trust.
The person can make decisions for you and handle health and personal welfare matters on your behalf.
Prices start from £420.

All our power of attorney (POA) options include:
A power of attorney is only valid once it has been registered with the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) in Scotland.
A fee for each power of attorney is payable to the OPG. We don't include this fee in our pricing.
You can see what the fees are on the Office of the Public Guardian (Scotland) website.
This doesn’t apply to a living will.
