Change or cancel a standing order

You can do this online

See a list of regular payments in our app or Internet Banking.
Make changes to your standing orders at any time.
Cancel any standing orders you no longer need.

How to do it

Log in and select More actions from your account.

Select Direct Debits and standing orders. Then select Manage standing orders. This will open a list of your regular payments.

Find the standing order you want to change. Then select the Amend button next to it to change the payment details or Delete to cancel it.

Confirm you want to go ahead. You’ll see a message letting you know your change has been made.

Log in and select the More menu from your account.
Select Direct Debits & standing orders. This will open a list of all your regular payments.
Find the standing order you want to change. Then select the Amend button next to it to change the payment details or Delete to cancel it.

Types of regular payment

Direct Debits, standing orders and subscriptions are all used to pay bills or move money on a regular basis.
You can view and manage them in the app or Internet Banking.

How long it takes a standing order to clear expandable section

Standing orders are usually processed on the same day they are set up. Allow three to five working days for the money to reach the recipient.

If you don’t have enough money in your account to pay a standing order, your bank may refuse to pay it. When this happens, your standing order stops until the next scheduled payment.
