What the Financial Planning service can do for you

These are some of the usual questions our personalised plans can help you answer:

  • Generating an income by investing your savings can be a simple way you can maximise the money you’ve saved. With interest rates at historic lows for many years now, savers have to look harder to find a similar level of returns that in the past had been provided by deposit accounts or bonds.

You can find the best way to bring your plans to life with a tailored plan from a Schroders Personal Wealth Adviser. They will present the different ways to help you grow your savings based on what your goals are and the level of risk you’re willing to take. They’ll explain everything in detail and answer any questions you may have. If you sign up for the Financial Planning service from Schroders Personal Wealth they will aim to help you make the best move.

Please note that the value of investments and any income from them can go down as well as up and you may not get back the amount invested.

  • Having a large sum of money to invest shouldn’t be a cause for concern. But it does call for a number of decisions that are better made with the correct level of advice. Are you supposed to invest it all at once? Should you invest it in things you know, or should you try new investments? When will you need access to the money, and how much will you need? Is there anything you’d like to accomplish now that should be placed on hold until your money grows.

The Schroders Personal Wealth Advisers will be able to guide you through all these questions and more. Once they understand your goals, they’ll show you a plan with what they think the most appropriate investment options could be for your money.

Please note that the value of investments and any income from them can go down as well as up and you may not get back the amount invested.

  • Through inheritance tax, 40% of the estate you plan to leave to your family could be liable. And this is a tax that with the correct planning and assessment could be reduced. It is never easy to imagine these scenarios, but having these discussions will be beneficial to your family.

Schroders Personal Wealth Advisers can share a variety of possible solutions with you. These could range from reviewing the best way in which you can pass on your assets, to how you can distribute your wealth while you’re alive. Whatever your plans are, they can make sure you are aware of the options to make them happen.

Tax treatment depends on individual circumstances and may be subject to change in the future.

  • Knowing how you can financially maintain your future lifestyle can be intimidating. Now is the time to start planning to make sure that when you decide to work less, you are financially prepared to enjoy this new stage in your life.

We can evaluate a number of things, such as your current pension payments or review the debt you may hold by the time you retire and how it will be covered. We can also discuss the age at which you plan to retire, and if your current plans require any changes to help you reach that goal.

  • Keeping your family safe and protected if anything unexpected happens should be something to keep in mind. Knowing you have enough money to cover any periods without work, or planning ahead in case of illness may provide you some peace of mind through difficult moments.

Finding the most efficient coverage considering every detail of your situation is something the Schroders Personal Wealth team can help you with. After the introductory meeting, the Schroders Personal Wealth Adviser will have a clear picture of what your current protection plans are. They’ll then discuss together the ways in which it can be improved if required, to make this protection tailored for you and your family so it’s as comprehensive as possible.
