On 2 July 2018, Bank of Scotland plc (BOS) issued letters to its customers informing them that it had agreed to transfer its mortgage loan agreements with them (the “Mortgages”) to Pepper Finance Corporation (Ireland) DAC trading as Pepper Asset Servicing (“Pepper”).
In line with the abovementioned letters, BOS transferred the Mortgages to Pepper on 28 September 2018 (the “Transfer Date”). Pepper holds legal title to the Mortgages on trust for Erimon Home Loans Ireland Limited (a subsidiary of Barclays Bank PLC) or its nominee (the “Beneficiary”).
All of the rights of BOS under the Mortgages have transferred to Pepper and the Beneficiary. From the Transfer Date, Pepper is the new lender of record in relation to the Mortgages.
