Protect yourself and your family
No one knows what’s round the corner: illness, injury or loss of income. From life insurance to critical illness cover and more, Schroders Personal Wealth can help make sure you have enough money should the unexpected happen, which may provide you and your family with peace of mind.
Through our partnership with Schroders Personal Wealth, you can access advice on:
- Life and term assurance
- Critical illness cover
- Income protection
- Long-term care planning
Protection products have no cash-in value at any time and cover will stop if you aren’t able to pay your premiums. If the policy amount has not been paid out by the end of the selected term, the policy will end and you’ll get nothing back.
Through our partnership with Schroders Personal Wealth, we want to give more of our customers access to financial and investment expertise, to help give you the chance to choose what your financial future looks like.
To benefit from the expertise of Schroders Personal Wealth, you will need to have at least:
- £100,000 of sole/joint savings, investments and/or personal pensions; and/or
- £100,000 of sole annual income.
Fees/Charges will apply if you take out a financial plan, product or service.
How can I protect myself and my family?
“Life can bring unexpected challenges, such as an illness, injury or loss of income. You might also need to consider long-term care for yourself or another family member. We can advise on protection policies and other strategies to help in situations like these and bring you peace of mind. Give us a call so we can understand what you’re looking for from a policy.”
Are life assurance policies taxable?
A life assurance policy could be liable for inheritance tax, depending on the value of the lump sum paid to your beneficiaries upon death, as well as your total estate/assets .
Inheritance tax is generally 40% which applies when estates are valued at more than £325,000 and are passed to non-spouse beneficiaries.
What is the difference between life assurance and life insurance?
Life assurance has no term and lasts for the rest of an individual’s life, while Life insurance pays out if the individual passes away during the term of the policy.
